The BCCI-powered Indian Premier League's(IPL) franchises on Thursday sold out with Bollywood stars, entrepreneurs and business houses alike pumping in as much as Rs 7,000 crore for its eight teams.

Mumbai - Mukesh Ambani - $111.9 million
Bangalore - Vijay Mallya - $111.6 million
Chennai - India Cement - $91 million
Delhi - GMR Holdings - $84 million
Mohali - Preity Zinta, Ness Wadia - $76 million
Kolkata - Shahrukh Khan - $75.09 million
Jaipur - Emerging Media - $67 million
Hyderabad - Deccan Chronicle - $107.01 million
The league is scheduled to start in April 2008 and will last for 44 days, involving 59 matches. The prize money for the league will be around Rs 13 crore (US $3million).
Each team will have a pool of 16 players, of whom four will be international and four from the Under-19 level or from the catchment area where the team is based.
Sony Television network and Singapore-based World Sports Group secured the rights of the IPL. The record deal has a duration of ten years at a cost of US$1.026 billion.
